2024 League Details

  • Opening Night:

    • May 28 (Memphis)

    • June 5 or 6 (MS, LA, AL)

  • Season complete by July 10

 

  • Schedule:  16 Game Season (Week Nights)

  • Full schedules will be released in mid-May.  

  • *Schedules subject to change*

  • Schedules will be built to minimize travel. For a list of venues visit our venue page.  

 

  • Divisions:

    • Memphis, TN

    • South Louisiana

    • North Louisiana 

    • Jackson, MS

    • Deep South (Hattiesburg, MS)

    • Birmingham

    • Huntsville

    • Mobile 

 

  • State Directors:

    • Tennessee: Ed Easley

    • Mississippi: Chris Snopek

    • Louisiana: Jack Cressend 

  • Area Directors:

    • Birmingham: Lee Gann

    • Mobile: Adam Heisler

    • Huntsville: Johnny Johnson

 

  • Rosters: Rosters including coaching assignments will be finalized and sent out mid May. We expect to have almost 500 players total. Each roster will consist of approx. 18-20 players. Your roster spot is NOT saved until a deposit is made. 

 

  • Jerseys/Uniforms: Uniform orders will be organized and placed through state/area directors. Each player will receive (2) jerseys and a game hat. 

 

  • Bats: Players will swing wood bats for all SECL competition.

 

  • Cleats: The SECL will play on artificial turf in all divisions. Please be prepared to comply with facility policies in regards to cleats/spikes. More information regarding specific venue policies will be added to the SECL website and released along with the schedule and rosters. 

  • Gym/Fitness: Each division has an exclusive local gym option for SECL players with discounted rates for the months of June and July.  Contact your area director for more information.

 

  • Work Program: Anyone that has interest in the work must complete   this application form. Once the form has been submitted you will be contacted by a member of 2D staff. 

  • Player Refunds:

    • Preseason- Refunds will be provided for players who have suffered an injury that prevents the player from competing in the SECL. In all other circumstances, refunds are provided by the SECL at the discrection and direction of the Area Director. ​

    • In-Season- Refunds are provided by the SECL at the discrection and direction of the Area Director based on circumstance and probability of finding a replacement. Refunds are not guaranteed. SECL Directors reserve the right to determine if a partial, full, or NO refund is warranted.
